Hornbach and Leroy Merlin Expand in Romania

Germany: German retailer Hornbach is opening its tenth store in Romania in September 2025 in the Colentina district of Bucharest. The new store gives the company its first presence in the eastern part of the capital. Hornbach already operates in the south (Berceni), west (Militari) and north (Balotești) of Bucharest. The Colentina location offers about 18,000 m² of sales area, including over 4,700 m² for its garden centre. A second store in Timișoara is planned for autumn 2025, as Hornbach aims for more even coverage across Romania’s key regions.
