USA: Home Depot has launched Material List Builder AI, a new digital tool designed to help professional tradespeople create accurate project material lists in minutes rather than hours. The AI interprets project requirements and generates organised, phase-by-phase material lists, reducing manual searching and errors. Users can input details through natural language descriptions, voice-to-text, pasted documents or pre-built templates for common projects such as kitchens and bathrooms. Once approved, the tool recommends products with preferred pricing and real-time inventory visibility, enabling direct ordering from a single supplier. Available free to Pro Xtra members through Home Depot’s Project Planning platform, the tool aims to save time, improve budget control and allow professionals to focus more on delivery and customer needs.
