Germany: Hansgrohe Group reported sales of EUR 1.387 billion (USD 1.497 billion) in 2024, reflecting a 1.3% decline from the previous year's EUR 1.406 billion (USD 1.519 billion). Adjusted for currency effects, sales remained stable, while operating income fell by 1% to EUR 199.9 million (USD 215.9 million). The EBITDA margin increased slightly to 18.5% from 18.3% in 2023, with EBITDA nearly unchanged at EUR 256.6 million (USD 277.1 million). The company faced a sluggish construction sector in Europe and China, but sales gains in India and Turkey balanced the impact of stagnation in Germany and China. Domestic sales declined by 1.0% to EUR 326.6 million (USD 352.7 million), while foreign sales dropped 1.5% but remained stable when adjusted for currency effects. The international market accounted for 76.5% of total revenue.
Despite challenges, Hansgrohe expanded its workforce to 5,645 employees globally, with notable growth in Serbia’s new production facility. The company invested EUR 55.5 million (USD 59.9 million) in manufacturing, IT, and innovation, including the SAP S/4HANA transition planned for 2025 and AI-powered solutions through "HansAI." It continued to develop premium products, launching Raindance Alive showers and AXOR ShowerSphere, designed by Antonio Citterio. Sustainability remained a key focus, earning Hansgrohe the German Sustainability Award 2024 and the EcoVadis Platinum Medal, placing it in the top 1% of 130,000 assessed companies worldwide.
Looking ahead, Hansgrohe plans strategic investments in innovation, workforce flexibility, and sustainability to drive future growth. CEO Hans Juergen Kalmbach acknowledged ongoing geopolitical uncertainties and market volatility, emphasizing the company's commitment to adaptability and long-term success. With its "Hansgrohe Next-Level Strategy," the company aims to strengthen its market position and maintain a sustainable performance level in 2025.
