Haier India Targets USD 2 Billion Revenue by 2027

INDIA: Haier Appliances India has unveiled an ambitious growth roadmap, aiming to achieve USD 2 billion in revenue from the Indian market by the end of 2027. To support this target, the company plans to invest approximately USD 4.2 billion over the next three to four years, focusing on manufacturing capacity expansion, higher localisation, and operational excellence. As part of this strategy, Haier is evaluating potential locations in southern India for a new manufacturing facility that will serve both domestic and export markets. The proposed investment is expected to generate around 12,000 direct and indirect jobs, while strengthening Haier’s footprint across high-growth categories such as air conditioners, LED televisions, and washing machines.
In parallel, Haier has outlined a capital expenditure plan of around USD 2.3 billion for 2026, including nearly USD 1.8 billion for setting up a second room air-conditioner manufacturing unit at its Greater Noida facility and about USD 480 million for additional production lines, including refrigerators. The company expects to close calendar year 2025 with revenues of roughly USD 1.3 billion, supported by strong festive-season demand, and is targeting about USD 1.75 billion in 2026. Haier is also accelerating localisation, with PCB manufacturing already localised and backward integration initiatives underway, taking localisation levels to 70–80 percent across key products.
