Switzerland: Geberit reported first-quarter net sales of CHF 873 million (USD 960 million, EUR 890 million) for 2026, representing a decline of 0.7% in Swiss franc terms, while currency-adjusted sales increased by 3.4%. The company stated that growth was supported by higher volumes and pricing effects despite weaker currency movements and challenging market conditions. Sales increased in Europe and the Middle East and Africa region, while declines were recorded in the Far East/Pacific region and the Americas. Operating cashflow (EBITDA) rose by 2.3% to CHF 283 million (USD 311 million, EUR 288 million), with the EBITDA margin increasing to 32.5%.
Net income increased by 4.5% to CHF 196 million (USD 216 million, EUR 200 million), while earnings per share rose to CHF 5.94. The company said geopolitical tensions and uncertainty linked to the Middle East conflict continue to affect the global economic outlook and construction markets. For 2026, Geberit expects limited growth in Europe’s construction sector, with renovation activity remaining more stable than new construction. The company plans to focus on expanding its market position through product launches, investments in digitalisation and artificial intelligence, marketing initiatives, and logistics development.
