Saudi Arabia: The Saudi Industrial Development Company (SIDC) has announced that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has approved anti-dumping duties on ceramic sanitaryware imported from China and India.
According to a statement issued to the Saudi stock exchange, the decision, enforced by the GCC’s Office of the Technical Secretariat for Combating Harmful Practices in International Trade, will apply to products such as ceramic wash basins, pedestals, bathtubs, bidets, toilet seats, cisterns, and urinals.
The tariffs will range from 33.8% to 51% on Chinese-origin goods and 21.4% to 83.4% on Indian exports. The duties will be in effect for five years, starting July 8, 2025.
