Switzerland: The Switzerland-based Franke Group, headquartered in Aarburg, has acquired 100% of the shares of Røros Metall, a premium Norwegian manufacturer of RørosHetta kitchen hoods and ventilation systems, to expand its Nordic presence and strengthen expertise in central ventilation. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Røros Metall will become part of Franke Home Solutions, reinforcing Franke’s position in the Nordic market by combining strengths in sustainable and energy-efficient ventilation solutions. Founded in 1946, Røros Metall launched its first kitchen hood in 1981 and has collaborated with Franke’s ventilation brand Faber for over 20 years, while also serving as the official distributor for Franke sinks and taps in Norway since 2024. Røros Metall owner and CEO Håvard Augensen will lead Franke’s Nordic operations, succeeding Christoph Stuebi, who will oversee the integration process.
