Indonesia: The Nusantara Capital City (IKN) Authority has announced that foreign investment in residential tower construction within Indonesia’s new capital has reached approximately Rp12.3 trillion (USD 760 million).

This investment, secured through the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, involves international consortiums from South Korea, the United States, and several other countries.

The funding will facilitate the development of 41 apartment towers in the Sepaku subdistrict of Penajam Paser Utara Regency, East Kalimantan—forming a key part of the new capital’s core residential infrastructure.

“The active participation of international investors signals global confidence in the IKN project,” stated Agung Wicaksono, Deputy for Funding and Investment at the IKN Authority, on Sunday, May 25, 2025.

Agung also highlighted that Indonesia’s infrastructure prospects, coupled with the transparency and sustainability of the PPP model, are increasingly attracting interest from global stakeholders.
