Florida Homeowners Turn to Bathroom Plumbing Upgrades to Reduce Water and Energy Consumption

USA: Florida homeowners are increasingly considering water-efficient bathroom fixtures to manage household expenses and conserve water. Highlighted in an October 13, 2026, announcement from Orlando, Florida, the initiative emphasises how upgrading showerheads, faucets, and other plumbing fixtures can improve efficiency without compromising performance.
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s WaterSense programme, bathrooms account for more than half of indoor household water use, while showers alone contribute nearly 17% of residential indoor water consumption. Installing water-efficient showerheads, faucets, and plumbing fixtures can therefore help households reduce water consumption and lower the energy required to heat water, supporting cost savings and more sustainable household water use.
