Flamme Küchen und Möbel to Close All Stores and End Operations in 2026

GERMANY: The long-established family business Flamme Küchen und Möbel has announced that it will cease all business activities in 2026, bringing nearly a century of operations to an end. Founded in 1929 in Bremen, the kitchen and furniture retailer will close its six stores located in Bremen, Berlin, Frankfurt, Fürth, Hanover and Munich. Managing Director Tina Flamme said the decision followed extensive consideration of economic, political and personal factors, and emphasised that the company aims to carry out an orderly and responsible closure. Around 300 employees will be affected, although a detailed closure schedule has yet to be confirmed. The shareholders described the move as a difficult but necessary step, marking the end of decades of shared commitment, growth and trust with employees, partners and customers.
