EXQUISHEAT Project Launched to Streamline Heat Pump Solutions for Food Industry in Europe

Europe: The newly launched three-year EU-funded project EXQUISHEAT brings together nine partners from six European countries with the objective of developing standardised, ready-to-implement heat pump solutions specifically for the food and drink manufacturing sector. By analysing industrial heat demand processes such as sanitation and hot-water supply, pasteurisation, evaporation and refrigeration, the consortium aims to target major efficiency gains and facilitate replication across multiple sites. The project also sets up a European roundtable to reinforce dialogue between food industry end-users and heat pump technology providers, supporting the EU’s Strategic Energy Technology Plan and the Net-Zero Industry Act, which calls for 40% of Europe’s climate-neutral technologies to be produced within the EU by 2030.
