Embraco Expands into HVAC with New Scroll Compressor Portfolio

ITALY: In a move that signifies a major step forward, Embraco, part of the Nidec Global Appliance division, has announced the expansion of its business into the HVAC sector with the launch of a new range of scroll compressors designed for applications beyond traditional refrigeration.
This initiative aims to strengthen the company’s presence in global markets by expanding its offerings to include air conditioning systems and heat pumps. The new portfolio covers capacities from 1.2 to 35 HP, catering to the requirements of cold rooms, rooftop units, ducted systems, and heating and cooling applications across residential and commercial sectors.
The expansion follows the acquisition of Xecom, enabling the integration of complementary technologies such as motors, electronics, and heat pump solutions, aligning with Nidec Global Appliance’s industrial strategy. The introduction of the new scroll compressor range represents a key milestone in Nidec’s transformation into a global provider of integrated thermal comfort management solutions for both cooling and heating.
