U.S.: Duravit announced that its Aurena Collection, designed by award-winning architect and designer Antonio Citterio, has received the prestigious GOOD DESIGN Award in the Bath & Accessories category from The Chicago Athenaeum. The luxury bathroom series was recognized for its precise design language, premium materials, and forward-thinking innovation inspired by the Golden Ratio, delivering balanced proportions and timeless silhouettes. According to Bob Downie, president and CEO of Duravit USA Inc., the recognition highlights the successful collaboration combining modern luxury with timeless style and exceptional performance.
The collection is suited for high-end residential and boutique hospitality projects and includes a freestanding bathtub, wall-mounted toilet, sinks, mirrors with integrated lighting, and furniture such as vanities and consoles in finishes like White Gloss, White Satin, Black Matte, and Black High Gloss. All ceramic pieces feature DuraShield technology proven to eliminate 99.99% of bacteria, while the wall-mounted toilet integrates Rimless technology for efficient cleaning and reduced water use. The series also includes a freestanding bathtub made from DuroCast Plus polymer cast with dual backrests and a 17½-inch depth, complemented by storage-focused vanities and an LED-rimmed, sensor-activated mirror with dimming and optional de-fogging technology.
