Danfoss Expands Compressor Portfolio with Palladio Acquisition

DENMARK/ITALY: Danfoss has announced the acquisition of Palladio, an Italian manufacturer of high-efficiency screw compressors, marking a major expansion of its compressor portfolio across comfort cooling, process cooling, heating, and refrigeration applications. Danfoss Commercial Compressors has been distributing Palladio screw compressors in Europe since forming a partnership with former owner RefPower Srl in 2022. With the acquisition, Palladio will now become part of the Danfoss Commercial Compressors division. Over the past two years, both companies have explored technological synergies, particularly in high-lift heat pumps and large cooling systems.
Danfoss stated that Palladio’s screw compressor technology addresses the limited availability of advanced, non-captive screw compressors, offering solutions suited for medium-range energy intensity applications. The company noted that the newly branded Danfoss Screw range will receive increased investment in R&D, production, and sales capacities to strengthen its market position.
