Danfoss Expands Compressor Portfolio with Acquisition of Palladio Compressors

Italy: Danfoss has announced the acquisition of Palladio Compressors as part of its LEAP 2030 strategy, aimed at broadening its compressor portfolio across applications ranging from light commercial comfort systems to large-scale process cooling, heating, and refrigeration. The acquisition follows two years of collaboration between the companies to explore synergies, particularly in high-lift heat pump technology. The integration of Palladio’s screw compressor technology is expected to strengthen Danfoss’ position in providing high-temperature and energy-efficient solutions, especially for medium-intensity applications. The new Danfoss Screw range will receive further investment in research, development, production, and sales to support global market expansion.

The addition of screw compressor technology complements Danfoss’ existing product portfolio, which includes compressors, valves, controls, heat exchangers, and sensors, enhancing its capacity to deliver solutions using natural and low-GWP refrigerants. Palladio Compressors will become part of the Danfoss Commercial Compressors division from 1 October 2025. As part of this integration, Danfoss plans to expand its workforce by recruiting research and development specialists, engineers, and technicians to support innovation and production growth.
