Daikin To Shift Heat Pump Component Production From Germany To Czech Republic

Germany: Daikin Manufacturing Germany GmbH has announced plans to transfer production of hydroboxes and hydrokits from its plant in Güglingen, Germany, to its facility in Brno, Czech Republic. The move forms part of a wider production optimisation strategy within the Daikin Europe Group and is scheduled to be completed by the end of June 2026. The restructuring could result in more than half of the Güglingen workforce being affected, with discussions currently taking place in coordination with the works council and IG Metall.
The company stated that the decision aims to increase productivity and support the availability of cost-efficient heat pump products in Europe, despite weaker demand influenced by fluctuating political support across EU countries. Daikin Airconditioning Germany GmbH, which handles sales and customer service in Germany, will not be impacted by the restructuring or the job cuts.
