Daikin India Opens Nairobi Office, Aims to Lead Kenya’s AC Market

India: Daikin Air Conditioning India Pvt. Ltd. (DAIPL), a fully owned subsidiary of Japan’s Daikin Industries Ltd., officially inaugurated its new office in Nairobi on September 12, 2025, as part of its strategy to deepen its presence across Africa. Located on the 8th Floor of One Africa Place, the facility features a state-of-the-art showroom showcasing Daikin’s HVAC solutions and will serve as a hub for marketing, sales, and service activities. The company aims to become the number one AC brand in Kenya within the next three years by providing innovative, eco-friendly air-conditioning systems and superior consumer service.

Speaking at the inauguration, Chairman and MD KJ Jawa emphasized the office as a milestone in Daikin’s Africa strategy, highlighting strategic investments, dealer development, and enhanced customer engagement. General Manager Junichi Omori noted Africa’s multi-billion-dollar potential, driven by urbanization, housing demand, and commercial growth, and outlined plans for Africa-specific products and an expanded dealer network. The Nairobi office underlines Daikin’s commitment to localized support, smart technologies, energy efficiency, and sustainable development, targeting robust growth in Kenya’s expanding AC market over the next three years.
