Daikin Partners Miura to Reduce Factory Energy Use and Carbon Emissions

Japan: HVAC giants Daikin and Miura have joined forces to reduce factory energy use and carbon emissions. As part of this partnership, Daikin will acquire a 4.67% stake in Miura, while Miura will purchase 49% of Daikin Applied Systems.

This collaboration merges Daikin's energy-saving technologies with Miura's field service expertise to provide comprehensive solutions for factories, including heating, air conditioning, and water systems. Their goal is to address up to 50% of a factory's energy use and create one-stop solutions for heat, air, and water needs in Japan. By optimizing systems and minimising wasted heat, they aim to achieve carbon neutrality in factories.

Looking ahead, Daikin and Miura plan to expand these solutions globally to support worldwide factory decarbonization efforts.
