JAPAN: Copeland and Daikin, two global leaders in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technologies, have announced the expansion of their existing joint venture into the European market. Under this extended collaboration, the companies will jointly introduce advanced inverter swing rotary compressors, along with power electronics and control solutions, specifically tailored for residential heat pumps in Europe.
The partnership highlights both companies’ commitment to accelerating the energy transition, with heat pumps widely recognised as a key technology capable of reducing global carbon dioxide emissions by an estimated 500 million tonnes by 2030. As Europe intensifies its shift away from fossil fuels and pursues ambitious sustainability goals, demand for residential heat pumps continues to rise.
By combining a comprehensive technology offering with deep application expertise and strong customer support, the collaboration aims to shorten time-to-market for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and support faster adoption of heat pump solutions across the region. The expanded partnership builds on the companies’ successful initial collaboration, integrating Copeland’s system solutions, technical expertise, established sales channels, and customer support network with Daikin’s swing rotary technology, known for its reliability, efficiency, and broad application capabilities.
Together, Copeland and Daikin will provide OEMs, distributors, and wholesalers with access to advanced technologies and dedicated support, enhancing system performance and integration while accelerating the deployment of residential heat pump solutions capable of reshaping Europe’s energy landscape.
