Bosch Reports 3.6% Revenue Growth in H1 2026, Supported by HVAC Acquisition
Germany: The Bosch Group reported solid performance in the first half of 2026 despite a challenging economic and geopolitical environment. Revenue increased by 3.6% year on year to EUR 46.4 billion, compared with EUR 44.8 billion in H1 2025. The newly acquired heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) business of Johnson Controls and Hitachi contributed approximately EUR 2 billion to the increase in sales.
Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) stood at EUR 2.2 billion, down from EUR 2.3 billion in the same period of 2025, while the operating EBIT margin declined to 4.6% from 5.1%. Bosch attributed the pressure on earnings mainly to one-off effects in its Mobility business.
Despite continued economic and geopolitical uncertainties, Bosch maintained its full-year 2026 outlook, expecting sales growth of 2–5% and an operating EBIT margin of 4–6%. The company noted that economic uncertainty continues to delay investment decisions across several markets while maintaining competitive pressure.
In the automotive sector, Bosch expects global production of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles to decline again in 2026, while heavy commercial vehicle production is expected to record slight growth. Against this backdrop, the company is continuing to focus on cost reduction, reducing complexity and improving competitiveness, while pursuing growth opportunities in new technologies, emerging markets and other business areas.
The company highlighted the HVAC acquisition as a significant contributor to first-half sales growth and reiterated its focus on structural adjustments and cost measures to support continued investment in future technologies and growth opportunities.
