BDR Thermea Signs Strategic Agreements with Midea Group

China: BDR Thermea Group has entered into several strategic cooperation agreements with Midea Group. Under the terms of the agreements, Midea will acquire BDR Thermea’s existing operations in China, including its manufacturing facilities, sales networks, and associated technologies. The acquisition covers BDR Thermea’s Chinese operations under the brands Baxi, De Dietrich, Chappee, and Brötje. Midea will continue to use these brand names in China under a licensing arrangement, thereby incorporating them into its own brand portfolio exclusively for the Chinese market. 

Following the agreement, BDR Thermea Group will maintain a reduced presence in China, focusing on global strategic sourcing. Additionally, Midea will provide boiler products and related services to BDR Thermea for use in various markets outside China. The partnership is positioned to address energy efficiency and contribute to the broader efforts aimed at enhancing residential climate solutions amid environmental challenges.
