UK: Baxi has introduced a Microgeneration Certification Scheme umbrella service for air source heat pump installers. Under the service, the company will assess properties for eligibility under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme and manage compliance requirements and MCS documentation. The initiative is designed to support installers by handling system design, compliance and administrative processes. Installers using the service may reduce administrative work by around eight hours per installation.
When a homeowner expresses interest in an air source heat pump, installers can contact Baxi to obtain an initial system sizing estimate to support quotation preparation. If the project proceeds, company engineers will conduct a site survey and produce a heat loss report, including assessments of radiator capacity and pipework calculations. This information enables installers to prepare a final proposal for the customer.
