Bauhaus Switzerland to Open New Centres in Ticino and Zurich Regions

Switzerland: Bauhaus Switzerland will open its first specialist centre in the canton of Ticino on 1 July 2025, following the takeover of the Migros Do it + Garden outlet in Losone TI. This development extends the company’s network, which began in 2006 with a centre in Niederwangen BE and later included sites in Schlieren ZH, Mels SG, Matran FR and Oftringen AG. On 14 July 2025, Bauhaus Switzerland will also assume operations of the sales outlet in Pfungen ZH, reinforcing its presence in the canton of Zurich, particularly around Winterthur. 

The incoming staff and apprentices at both locations will be offered equivalent employment contracts, ensuring continuity in sales, technical support and service. The Do it + Garden outlets will close on 14 June in Losone and on 30 June in Pfungen to allow for renovation work. Both centres are scheduled to reopen in August under the Bauhaus small-space concept, providing a condensed range of products and services for DIY enthusiasts and trade professionals.
