Bahrain: Bahrain has launched an ambitious plan under the Government Land Rights Development Programme to build over 7,000 housing units within two years, aiming to deliver them to eligible citizens. The programme includes 11 fast-tracked housing projects developed in collaboration with the private sector. Key projects include the Al Naseem development in Salman City (131 units), which has reached 79% completion and is expected to finish by Q4 2025. The Al Wadi project in Buhair (76 units) has reached 59% completion, while the Hoorat Sanad project (47 units) stands at 15% completion.
These projects are being executed with a strategy of parallel construction of units and infrastructure to ensure timely delivery. Hundreds of homes are expected to be handed over by the end of the year. The housing developments have seen strong demand, with projects like Al Naseem, Al Wadi, and Suhail selling out rapidly through off-plan reservations. The programme has also drawn heightened interest from real estate developers, and four top firms have signed MoUs to implement the Khalifa City project, which will deliver over 3,000 housing units and apartments.Top of Form
