India: Ariston Group has signed an agreement to acquire a new manufacturing facility near Hyderabad, Telangana, from Hintastica Private Limited, a joint venture between Groupe Atlantic of France and Hindware Home Innovation Limited of India. The plant, inaugurated in January 2023, spans 23,100 square metres, with 13,000 square metres covered area, and has an annual production capacity of around 500,000 electric storage water heaters, which can be expanded with additional investment. The acquisition is aimed at enhancing supply chain resilience, cost efficiency, and proximity to the Indian market, where Ariston operates through its premium water heating brand, Racold. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2025 following regulatory approvals.
Ariston stated that the new facility will strengthen Racold’s manufacturing base in India and enable the company to introduce more locally made water heating solutions. The plant will also continue to supply products to Hintastica as part of the agreement. India, with its growing middle-class population and increasing demand for modern home appliances, remains a key growth market for Ariston. The company views the acquisition as part of its broader industrial strategy to expand its footprint in Asia while supporting the adoption of advanced, energy-efficient water heating technologies across the country.
