INDIA: Consumer electronics brand Acerpure, part of Taiwan-based Acer Group, plans to leverage insights from its growth in India to strengthen its presence in other emerging markets such as Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia as part of its broader global expansion strategy, a senior company executive said on Thursday.
The company, which formally entered India’s air conditioner market after conducting test marketing last year, is also exploring export opportunities from India in the future. Speaking to PTI, Leonard CC Yang, Regional Sales Manager – Consumer Business (Pan Asia Pacific) at Acerpure Inc, said the brand currently operates in categories such as TVs, air purifiers, fans, and air conditioners in India, with manufacturing handled by third-party partners.
Yang added that in 2026, Acerpure is planning a broader expansion strategy, covering not just India but also Taiwan, where it has recently introduced its air conditioners.
"We are embracing every opportunity (in India). Currently, yes, all of the ODMs (original design manufactures) or factories here are focusing on to fulfill the domestic demand first but someday, somehow, I believe that their ambitions will be large or good enough to have all of the products to be exported. This is part of our mission as well," he said when asked about exports from India.
