USA: A. O. Smith reported diluted earnings per share of USD 3.85 for 2025 and announced its financial guidance for 2026. Total sales for 2025 were USD 3.0 billion, reflecting a slight increase compared with 2024. Pricing related to water heaters, along with higher volumes in boilers and commercial water heaters, was largely offset by lower volumes in wholesale residential water heaters.
Segment earnings in 2025 amounted to USD 727.9 million, with a segment margin of twenty four point four percent. This compares with segment earnings of USD 707.5 million and a segment margin of twenty four point zero percent in 2024. On an adjusted basis, 2024 segment earnings were USD 713.8 million with an adjusted segment margin of twenty four point two percent, excluding USD 6.3 million related to restructuring and impairment expenses in the water treatment business. The change in segment earnings and margins between 2025 and 2024 reflected pricing, changes in boiler and commercial water heater volumes, and water treatment profitability, which offset lower residential water heater volumes and higher input costs, including tariffs.
